Margot Robbie gave a fantastic performance in The Wolf of Wall Street as the beautiful wife of Leonardo DiCaprio's financial mogul Jordan Baker. And in a recent interview with The Daily Beast, she dished what everyone really wants to know about: her sex scenes with the Titanic heartthrob!
Robbie knew she was in for a challenge from the beginning, when she had to perform her audition scenes in front of the intimidating Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio in person! "It was the throwing-water fight scene, the 'What's wrong, Daddy?' scene in the nursery — and a lot of it got cut out in the film," she explained. "It was a lot more confronting and awkward to do in an audition, let me tell you. And I also did the first-date scene." The "What's wrong, Daddy?" scene involves Robbie's character teasing and tempting her husband as she refuses to have sex with him, so we can't help but wonder what other scenes were cut from the nearly three-hour movie!
Robbie already had nerves about her nude scenes. And her sex scene with DiCaprio on a bed of money? Not so comfortable either. "I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It's not as glamorous as it sounds," she said. "If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash — don't. Or maybe real money is a bit softer, but the fake money is like paper, and when I got up off the bed, I turned around to get my robe and everyone gasped. I said, 'What is it?' And they said, 'You look like you've been whipped a million times. Your back is covered in a thousand red scratches.'" Meanwhile, Robbie perfected her Brooklyn accent with the already star-studded cast.
She was extremely nervous about filming with DiCaprio because she was a huge fan of Titanic as a kid, and, like everyone else growing up with the movie, had a massive crush on DiCaprio because of it. "Amongst my friends, everyone loves that movie. It's a common quote among my friends and I that whenever it's cold, we go to each other, 'It's so cold, Jack...' I had to stop myself from saying it because I'd be on the set of Wolf of Wall Street shivering, and I was tempted to go, 'It's so cold, Jack...' but Leo is there sitting right next to me," she half-joked.
The Australian beauty pulled off an amazing performance in spite of her nervousness, and she was stunning at the Wolf of Wall Street premiere. Could we be seeing more of Margot Robbie in 2014? We hope so!
