According to Hollywood Life, Justin Bieber invited Selena Gomez to his neighborhood when he heard his ex-girlfriend was back in town. "Justin started to invite her over when he knew she would be in town, now that she is taking time for herself," a source said. "This isn't the first time they have hung out recently at his place."

Indeed, Selena Gomez recently announced that she was cancelling her 2014 tour to take some time for herself. Ironically, early reports claimed that she needed the break after dealing with the emotional trauma of her breakup from Justin Bieber.

"Dealing with her breakup from Justin has still been affecting her and she's been in a bit of a bad place recently," an insider told Radar Online. "Her family stepped in and basically advised her to either go to therapy or stay with them so they could watch over her. Her team agreed that family time would be best."

But it now seems like Justin Bieber had nothing to do with Selena Gomez's tour cancellation. Popdust recently reported that the latter singer is actually suffering from lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that cause fatigue, headaches, and joint pain, among other symptoms. There is no cure, but it can be managed with treatment.

"Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her lupus is really catching up with her right now," a source said. "She knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life."

Per Hollywood Life, this alleged lupus diagnosis has actually brought Selena Gomez back together with Justin Bieber. Gomez was apparently upset when her illness was publicized, but her ex-boyfriend supposedly provided moral support.

"They've been talking every day, he really understands what she's going through with her lupus," a source said. "He's been so supportive because he knew how much she wanted to keep that private."

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's Segway date came just weeks after the singer discussed his ex-girlfriend during a Power 106 interview. He admitted that his single "All That Matters" was based on the happier times in their relationship.

"[The breakup] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people," Justin Bieber said of his split with Selena Gomez. "It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both of us. I think we're going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we're taking a little time and not talking."

Fans of Jelena are likely glad that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may get back together. But not everyone was excited about the Segway date. As Entertainment Wise noted, many of Bieber's neighbors complained on Twitter about the singers holding up traffic.
