Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux might have mended their relationship. Unlike their separate Thanksgiving, the Christmas holiday may be spent together. The couple was seen making their annual visit to Mr. Greentrees to find a Christmas tree for their home.
"They spent about five minutes [looking at trees] before deciding on a big noble fir," the onlooker tells Us Weekly. "Jennifer knew what she wanted and was leading the way. She was smelling the trees and seemed very into the holiday spirit." This is good news, considering previous sources told us that the couple was struggling during Thanksgiving. In the "RELATIONSHIP CRUMBLES" article that Star magazine (via Hollywood Scoop) featured, a source revealed, "They've actually been fighting like crazy behind the scenes for a while now. They're such different people, kind of an oil-and-water couple. Lots of people wonder if their engagement is even the real thing."
Aniston and Theroux share a home in California, but Theroux has been working in New York. Theroux did not return to California for Thanksgiving, even though he didn't necessarily need to stay in New York from the holiday. "They do have things called jet planes," the source told Star. "You'd certainly think it would've been important for Justin to join Jen for the holiday-or just as important for Jen to be with Justin if he was with his family."
"Jen always used to be the one who was working nonstop on films while Justin was writing and producing," a friend of the couple told In Touch magazine via Hollywood Life. "But now that he's both filming and producing, their dynamic has changed. It's not Justin's fault - he wants to work more again. But it's caused them to drive apart and spend much less time together." The friend told the magazine, "Don't be surprised if things end sooner rather than later."
Theroux proposed to Aniston on Aug. 10, 2012, after a year and a half of dating. Rumors of their marriage being delayed swarmed. In Touch reported the possibility that Theroux was delaying the marriage.
The Millers actress denied these rumors when she guested on the show The Talk. "We're just really happy, and we're in love and we feel like we're married," she said, according to New York Daily News. "Eventually we're going to get married when we find the time. I don't feel like there's a rush." So maybe the breakup rumors were false.
It seems like maybe the Christmas spirit was just what the engaged couple needed. Do you think that Aniston and Theroux's relationship has been completely mended? Let us know in the comments below!
