Khloe Kardashian is allegedly driving her divorce with Lamar Odom. We previously thought that the basketball star was threatening to divorce, asking for a huge settlement price and Kardashian's ring in exchange for the safety of an alleged sex tape and other Kardashian family secrets.

But that might not actually be the case, according to a source close to Odom. "He already knows and there's nothing he can do about it. He's expecting Khloe to end things," the source told Hollywood Life.

It was only in October that the NBA player told Us Weekly, "We're wonderful. We're unbreakable. That's why I wear my wedding ring." After Odom seemed to get his addiction under control, it looked like the couple might be able to reconcile. But it didn't seem that way for too long. "Lamar wears his ring all the time, and he wishes Khloe would wear hers," said Hollywood Life's source.

Actress and model Khloe Kardashian, wearing her ring, supports Lamar Odom of the USA team. She sits in the stands prior to the FIBA Basketball World Championship game between USA and Russia in Istanbul in 2010.

The source also notes that Khloe Kardashian is slowly distancing herself from Odom and sending mixed messages. She allegedly stayed the night with him recently and was condescending the morning after. Khloe Kardashian is predicted to file for divorce in 2014, and it may be a plotline in her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Meanwhile, Odom is focusing on his basketball career and accepting that this is his wife's decision.

We do know that — perhaps as an olive branch — Kris Jenner invited Odom to her family's Thanksgiving celebration. Kris Jenner's ex-husband Bruce was invited as well, and happily accepted the invitation. Odom, on the other hand, chose to spend a holiday with his dad, Radar Online claims.

"The divorce plans are very calculated," the insider told Hollywood Life. "Not only does Khloe want to wait until after the holidays, she also wants to wait to see if Lamar will sign with an NBA team because she would want him to finish the season drama-free. Plus, she wants to work around the television show storylines. As crazy as this all sounds, Khloe is business first, divorce afterwards."

This may be strange, but it makes sense in light of all of the drama and turmoil Khloe Kardashian has been facing between her paternity rumors (is O.J. Simpson her real father?), this sticky divorce, and the filming of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Between Khloe's divorce settlement drama and Kanye's engagement to Kim, It seems like this season will be an exciting one.
