However, the victim of the fight, Shamichael Manuel, has spoken out to the media. "I was just in shock," Manuel told KHOU. "I was like oh my God. Did she really do this?" You're supposed to be my close friend. We were talking in school earlier that day. She made it seem like there was nothing wrong with her."

The fight supposedly started over a boy. Shamichael Manuel claimed she was told to go to another friend's house to pick up some items. It was there that Sharkeisha attacked her. A neighbor ultimately picked Manuel up and took her home.

Manuel suffered a black eye and busted lip in the Sharkeisha attack. But the emotional side effects have been much worse. The 17-year-old has to deal with being the brunt of Internet jokes.

"The video's just going and going," said her mother, Olevia Henderson. "They're making jokes, and they're taunting. They're glorifying the girl Sharkeisha, but they're taunting my daughter at the same time."

Henderson said she was also embarrassed by the Sharkeisha viral video. She went to her daughter's school, but officials cannot do anything, since the fight was off campus property. So the mother reportedly has filed a report with the local sheriff, and charges may be coming.
