According to TMZ, Paul Walker was in Santa Clarita on Saturday for a fundraiser helping the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. He then took reportedly his friends out in his Porshe GT, when the car allegedly crashed. It is unclear who was driving at the time. TMZ also claimed that one other person was killed in this alleged car crash.

A report on the website Media Mass claims that the Paul Walker death story is a hoax. But while this website has confirmed other celebrity death hoax stories in the past, it is unclear whether its version of events is accurate this time. It also seems like this article may have been written before Paul Walker's rumored death on Saturday. Indeed, Just Jared claims that this Media Mass story of a Paul Walker death hoax was posted on Friday, not on the day of the supposed car crash.

Meanwhile, Just Jared and other outlets are reporting that two fatalities have been confirmed in the car crash in question. But it is still unknown whether either of those dead people is Paul Walker.

UPDATE: TMZ reporter Ryan Satin now claims he has confirmed Paul Walker's death with the actor's rep.

UPDATE 2: Fox LA, Variety and ABC News are now also reporting that Paul Walker has died. The news has also been confirmed by Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor's Facebook page has also confirmed that Paul Walker died in a car crash. However, the statement claims Walker was a passenger in the vehicle, not the driver.

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide," the statement reads. "He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences."

UPDATE 3: The Hollywood Reporter claims the car accident that killed Paul Walker took place in Rye Canyon Loop. Video of the aftermath of a car crash from that location has already made its way online, though it is unclear if this is the same accident that led to the actor's death.
