So far, the couple in question, identified as Verena and Michael, has not commented on this Zach Braff photobomb. But the photographer, Sascha Reinking, posted on his professional blog about the actor's appearance.
"Like most of my couples they asked me for one of my 'famous' street shots and so I put them right on 42nd street with Times Square in the background," Reinking wrote. "Little did we know that we were about to get photobombed by no other than Zach Braff. The funny thing about this was that I didn't even notice it until I started to edit the images earlier tonight! I scanned through the set and his face looked familiar. '"Is that Zach Braff?"'
Reinking then posted the image on social media, where his fellow photographers confirmed that the man in question was Zach Braff. But to be sure, Reinking contacted the actor himself.
"Sir, I think you photobombed my newlywed couple the other day in New York. :)" he tweeted to Braff. "Well played..."
Braff confirmed his photobomb with a tweet of his own. "This is one of my best photobombs ever," he wrote alongside the picture in question.
According to Reinking, the couple actually got married in Germany. But Verena and Michael wanted some wedding photos during their New York vacation, which is why they hired Reinking. Surely, it was an experience they will never forget.
Zach Braff is a known photobomber, as the actor surprised Jessica Alba and Fergie in a picture he posted online last month. But how does this latest Braff creation compare to these other celebrity photobombs?
1) Kevin Spacey
Kevin Spacey was not exactly subtle. The House Of Cards star yelled out "photobomb" while shocking a tourist named Christina Sander in Boston. Sander was posing by the George Washington monument when Spacey jumped into the shot.
2) Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson was already an American Idol, but she really stole our hearts with a photobomb at the 2013 Grammy Awards. While Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi posed for a sweet shot, Clarkson secretly poked her head out behind them and pointed to herself.
3) Jesse Tyler Ferguson
We all know Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a funny guy, and he proved it with his photobomb at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. The Modern Family star jumped in front of the camera while then-couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr posed for a photo.
"Orlando's been — I don't know him terribly well, but he's been so sweet to me every time I've seen him, he's such a fan of the show, and is just such a generous, sweet guy," Ferguson said in February. "And that carpet, you sort of have to U-turn your way out of it and walk behind people taking photos, so it was a last-minute thing. I just jumped really quickly, and they caught that. I also kind of knocked them over a little bit, and they were so sweet and didn't seem to care, but I'm glad it didn't end in a disaster."
4) Emma Stone
