Ellie Goulding has been covering up recently, and some fans are saying it's a welcome change. Goulding has been known for wearing scandalous, itty-bitty clothing. But she has been seen on two occasions covering up. Is she turning a new leaf?

The singer has spent much time turning heads with her racy outfits. Her modest clothes are a bit perplexing because Goulding just told the Sun: "I don't feel I have to cover up. I can wear a half-naked revealing dress now, and people aren't surprised anymore."

Her newfound confidence was inspired by touring mate Katy Perry. "I don't think I have the perfect figure or the perfect face, and people know that I know that. But I can't really be shy anymore, everyone in America is naturally confident it's a whole different world over there."

Yet Goulding sported leather pants and a sparkly plaid button-down at the Mini Cooper party on Monday. The look garnered mixed reviews from fashion critics. Some thought she looked like a lumberjack, and others thought the down-to-earth style was refreshing.

Tuesday morning, Goulding showed up to BBC Radio 1's studios baring very little skin. The singer wore baggy gray trousers, a slightly torn T-shirt, and a puffy jacket. The cage heels and soft makeup added a feminine touch.

We admit it: We kind of love Goulding's new boy-meets-girl look. Do you?
