Watch Sons of Anarchy Tuesday nights on FX at 10 p.m. ET!
We knew Tara was in for it. But it remains to be seen whether SAMCRO's newest and ever-most-reluctant old lady will survive her many mistakes. In Sons of Anarchy Season 6, Episode 10 "Huang Wu," Tara began to suffer the fallout from her decision to manipulate Jax into a restraining order against his mom Gemma.
While Tara's plan to fake a pregnancy and then blame Gemma for a fake miscarriage was doomed the moment she decided to count on Wendy and Unser to have her back against Jax and Gemma, we didn't expect her plot to come undone so quickly. Sons of Anarchy Season 6 isn't wasting any time, and Episode 10 "Huang Wu" got to work fast moving the plot.
Jax and Gemma are thick as thieves again, the SAMCRO prez understandably siding with his mom in this latest feud with Tara. As Gemma said in her simmering sit-down with her daughter-in-law, faking the death of a baby went beyond any scheme the motorcycle matriarch has ever cooked up -- at least according to the unique moral code of SAMCRO. And while we wouldn't go so far as to agree with Gemma's promise that Jax will never forgive Tara for this one, we know it had Tara shaking in her boots.
"My son loves deep, hates deeper," Gemma said. "It's in our genes. Betrayal is unforgivable. What you did, what you were planning to do -- there's no coming back from that. All you can do now is tell him you're sorry and go away."
We're just not sure about that. Since the beginning of the series, Jax has been represented as the face of a new generation for SAMCRO. While he's stumbled and wandered deep into darker territory than he ever intended, at times falling into the bad habits of his nemesis of a stepfather, Clay, Jax still isn't quite the fundamentalist Gemma is. Just remember how many times, and how seriously, he considered leaving the club behind. That's not in Gemma's blood, just like forgiveness isn't.
But Jax is his own special snowflake, and no one in his life can really say what he's going to do or what he's capable of. Gemma might think Jax has it in him to cast Tara out or even send her to the grim reaper. But we don't think so. And we have a feeling this storyline will take the back burner in next week's episode, which will be heavily centered on the plot to bust Clay out of prison. What's with the Irish's thing for that guy, anyway?
What are your predictions? Will Jax send Tara running? Or will Gemma take matters into her own hands? Share your thoughts in the comments!
