The Mega Millions jackpot has shot up to $115 million ahead of Friday's drawing! The winner will get to choose between a one-time payment of $64 million, or installments of $3.3 million per year for 26 years. Hey, can't go wrong!
The last Mega Millions winner was announced on Oct. 1 after a Maryland resident scored a jackpot worth $189 million. The winning numbers for the November 5 Mega Millions drawing were 2-11-42-64-74 with the Mega Ball 2. Since no ticketholders matched all of the numbers, the Mega Millions jackpot rose to $115 million.
Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. Pacific time and can be played in 43 states, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands. The price of admission? Just $1 per ticket!
To play Mega Millions, purchase a $1 ticket (or as many as you like) and pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers. If choosing that many numbers is too much pressure, you can have the numbers picked for you automatically using the easy pick option. To win the Mega Millions jackpot, you need to have all six numbers matched. But fewer matches could score you a lesser prize of anywhere from $1 to $1 million!
The next drawing for the $115 million Mega Millions jackpot will be held on Friday, November 8. Will you be taking a shot?
