A YouTube video of an emotional baby who cries when her mom sings is making its viral rounds about the Web. In it, we see sweet little 10-month-old Mary Lynne Leroux moved to tears upon hearing her mother singing "My Heart Can't Tell You No." The video was uploaded just over a week ago and has nearly three million views. So what's the big deal about an emotional baby crying when she hears her mother sing? Well, you'll just have to watch it to understand.
According to the information on YouTube, the video appears to have been uploaded by the child's father, Alain Leroux, who writes "She's was only ten months old when this video was taken, her reaction is priceless!"
And indeed the emotion-filled response of this cute baby is enough to bring a little moisture to the eyes of even the hardest egg. As the video begins, mother, Amanda tells baby Mary Lynne Leroux that she's going to sing her a song and asks the cute baby to let everyone know how the long makes her feel. The baby smiles gregariously at the notion of mom singing to her. As the song begins we see the little cutie smile seeming quite delighted to hear her mother's beautiful voice.
The song has a sad tone to it, however, and before long we see little tears coming in the emotional baby's eyes as her lip begins to quiver a little. As mom progressed through the song the baby moves in and out of impassioned responses of joy and sadness, much like many of us might experience at the end of a great romantic movie. The video is so "ridiculously cute", it didn't take long for it to become a hit on places like Reddit, Twitter, Huffington Post and The Today Show.
While many who watch the cute emotional baby video on YouTube expressed endearing feelings towards the little darling and her adorable emotional response to mom's singing, some viewers questioned whether or not it was fair to make a baby cry like this.
"You are projecting a lot on a baby who probably is crying because she believes her mother is yelling at her. Either we are watching a child who has an emotional and mental development years beyond her chronological age or we have a child who is behaving very much in a manner that a baby of her age would when experiencing emotional distress from the sound of an adult "yelling". Your projection is far less likely. Now what happens to the emotional memory of a child who is emotionally distressed?" said viewer mordarlar.
Meanwhile another viewer, Jean-Luc LeBlanc, had a rebuttal of his own.
"Firstly, very rarely do babies whimper. When my child cries he is very loud. He doesn't smile and shed a single tear like the baby in this video. He yells at the top of his lungs. VERY LOUDLY, as crying is a natural thing for kids. Secondly, the mother obviously cares for her baby, don't be so rude. She did "comfort" him at the end for him being mildly saddened (perfectly normal) and she just noticed her baby imitated the emotions she sang. She wanted to share this with the world."
Though there's no way of knowing for certain what the baby is experiencing, one thing is for certain, her emotional response is downright cute and definitely had us bawling our eyes out watching it. Check out the viral YouTube video "Emotional Baby - Too Cute" and judge for yourself.
