Lindsay Lohan's tendency for trouble may be back after months of living sober, with recent reports detailing the recovering alcoholic's wild night at a NYC nightclub and photos of her reaching for a bottle of wine.
Lohan has managed to stay sober since completing her last stint in rehab in August, but the admitted addict caused chaos once again at a Karaoke bar with friends. Lohan was reportedly chain-smoking cigarettes during the wild night, and although sources said she wasn't drinking, she showed signs of belligerent behavior.
"[Lindsay] proceeded to start a verbal fight and refused to leave at closing, planting herself at the bar until almost 6 a.m.," according to the Daily News. "Lindsay was chain-smoking. She walked in sober and left looking tired," a source said. The trouble reportedly started when Lohan requested that the bar be kept open later, and after the staff denied her request she began acting "insanely belligerent," the onlooker said.
While the police were called to the scene, no charges were filed, seemingly letting Lohan off the hook. Yet, shocking photos posted TMZ may prove that the recovering child star is on the brink of relapse, showing what appears to be Lohan reaching for a bottle of wine. Further fueling speculation that Lohan's sobriety is in jeopardy is the fact that her sobriety coach, Doug Caine, is no longer by the star's side.
Lohan's always outspoken father Michael reacted to reports that his daughter was in danger of relapsing, defending her sobriety while condemning her hard-partying pals. "She's absolutely fine. She's always great, she's up early every day and I'm happy that she's sober," Lohan's dad said. "If [Lindsay's] friends] care about her, they won't drink in front of her."
If Lohan does succumb to her demons, it will threaten several projects she's landed since her recovery. Not only did the Mean Girls actress pen a $2 million deal with Oprah to document her sober lifestyle, but Lohan is rumored to be opening up her own rehab, which needless to say be derailed by a relapse.
"Lindsay really wants to help other people, and she's talked to some of her wealthy friends who are sober about the prospect of opening a rehab center," a source said. "She loves the idea and really believes that if her name is attached to it, it will help draw attention to sobriety."
