After dropping by Dancing with the Stars as a guest judge, former dancer Julianne Hough caused quite a stir when she took a swipe at fellow dance pro and close friend, Mark Ballas!

Hough, who is no stranger to DWTS, spoke candidly about Ballas' Paso Doble performance with Christina Millian, saying: "There were moments where I felt like choreography-wise, I felt like it was two people dancing side-by-side rather than together. So I really want to see (Milian) shine. I've danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you're seen."

Ballas didn't seem to take the 25-year-old's criticism very well, as he barely cracked a smile following the comment. Additionally, Us Weekly reported that "Mark was so pissed after his routine he was in silence, just gritting his teeth for a long time."

When talking about the comments during a promotional event for her movie Paradise, Hough was quick to say that her critique on Ballas was nothing personal. "I judge the same way I teach, so it all comes from love," Hough said to Us Weekly "It's not to diss anybody. It's not to hurt anybody's feelings.

"It's about constructive criticism so that they can get better for next week and that was not a direct attack to anybody," she continued

Ballas seemed to have been happy to brush Hough off when he was asked about her comments, saying, "She put a little sting on me, but that's okay. That's how she felt. It is what it is."

Ballas's dance partner Milian then added: "We take the high road. As long as we know that we did a fantastic job, that makes me happy."
