Josh Hutcherson's Hunger Games character Peeta may be pining over Katniss Everdeen, but the actor said he isn't against dating men and even expressed interest in having a threesome with his costars.

Hutcherson shocked fans of Hunger Games when he was asked if his character should have a threesome with Katniss and Gale who also star in the action-packed movies. "I know Peeta would be into it, for sure. He's very sensitive, in touch with his emotions," Hutcherson told Out magazine. He even offered the idea of a threesome to resolve the love triangle that is at the heart of the novel-turned-movie franchise.

"I think it really might solve a lot of their problems. You know what? I'm going to pitch that idea," Hutcherson quipped. "Let's make it a — what's it called when three people are in a relationship together? A triad? That'll go over well with Middle America," the 20-year-old actor joked. While Hutcherson was clearly poking fun at the concept, he was frank when discussing equality among the gay community.

"I have this dream that one day, my kid's gonna come home from school and be like, 'Dad, there's this girl that I like, and there's this guy that I like, and I don't know which one I like more, and I don't know what to do,'" Hutcherson said. "And it'd just be a non-issue, like, 'Which one is a good person? Which one makes you laugh more?'"

The Hunger Games star open-minded philosophy when it comes to the LGBT community reaches a personal level as well, and Hutcherson said he isn't against having a relationship with a man in the future. "Maybe I could say right now I'm 100% straight. But who knows? In a year, I could meet a guy and be like, Whoa, I'm attracted to this person," Hutcherson explained.

Hutcherson wasn't quick to give up names, but he did admit he's felt a connection to men in the past. "I've met guys all the time that I'm like, damn, that's a good-looking guy, you know? I've never been like, Oh, I want to kiss that guy. I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100% anything is kind of near-sighted and close-minded," Hutcherson said.
