So what is this "Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise" YouTube video all about? The video starts by introducing us to the scene of the prank — 'Snice Coffee Shop in West Village, NYC. The shop appears to be typical, serving vegetarian sandwiches, baked goods and coffee. Inside, however, some "renovations" are being made to prepare for the epic telekinetic Carrie prank ahead. The camera pans to a fake wall being put up inside the store, behind which a full movie production team is found rigging up pulleys and levers and prepping a stuntman for his memorable performance ahead.

In addition to the stunt man, some of the coffee shop tables have been modified with wheels and wires, allowing them to be moved by remote control. The usual artwork and books found on the walls of the café have been spring loaded in preparation for one of the greatest and creepiest Halloween pranks of all time. With all props in place — including the angry young woman who will be the catalyst for the frightening situation ahead — the pranksters are ready to scare the beans out of a few NYC coffee shop patrons.

With the prank ready to go, the camera pans over to a black screen which reads "Time to f**k with some customers." Viewers soon see the café begin to fill with customers from the West Villiage, NYC area, filing in for a morning "Cup of Joe," friendly visit or a long study session. At this point the stuntman carelessly bumps into the table of a pretty curly haired girl who appears to be studying. He spills her coffee all over her computer, and at this point, the telekinetic Carrie moves are about to begin.

The angry young woman begins freaking out, yelling "Oh my God!" The man apologies, but this is not enough. The girl begins to build into her tirade yelling, "You just ruined all my stuff!" The stuntman seemingly shrugs her off, tells her to grab some napkins and she'll be fine. The girl is becoming more worked up and yells, "Fine? There is coffee inside of my computer!" The two are attracting a lot of attention, and at this point the girl jumps out of her chair and yells, "You know what, just get away from me!" We see the girl push her hand towards the stuntman. She never touches him, but within a few seconds he is thrust backwards against a wall and lifted off his feet in a way that looks like she has attacked him with "telekinetic powers."

What happens next is classic. Customers scream. Some try to take photos and others just rush from the building. For those who remain behind to see what will happen next, they are in for a treat. The girl turns around looks at her hands as if realizing for the first time the power she has and then extends her fingers outward. At this point tables and chairs controlled by remote, slide away from her, clearing a circular space around this "supernatural" creature.

Those coffee shop customers who stayed for Act One are definitely heading for the door now. But the show isn't over yet. In one final stunt, the girl lets out a blood-curdling scream as books and paintings fly from the walls and shelves.

We know what's happening, of course, and so to us watching this prank is absolutely awesome, and one of the cleverest ways to promote a new movie we've ever seen. But in truth, we wouldn't have wanted to be among the patrons that day!

At any rate, the experience is sure to be one people at the 'Snice West Village coffee shop talk about for years to come as the Carrie movie promotion prank is clearly one of the best and scariest Halloween pranks of all time. Carrie is set to release in theaters October 18, 2013. Check out the prank coffee shop promotion video below.
