When Abigail Breslin first burst onto the scene as a child star, she rocked adorable brown locks. But now the 17-year-old has a platinum blonde look. This, she told E! News, makes her harder to recognize at times.
"The cast doesn't recognize me!" she joked, "I was like 'Hey guys!' and they were like, 'Who's this random girl crashing our photo shoot today?'"
Even some fans no longer recognize the grown up Abigail Breslin. The actress also told E! that she was in a supermarket one day and overheard two girls trying to identify her.
"This girl was like, 'Oh my gosh, that's Abigail Breslin,' and her friend was like, 'No it's not, it looks nothing like her!" Breslin continued.
Abigail Breslin has actually dyed her hair numerous times over the years. She told E! that she went back and forth between dark and light locks for various movie roles, including appearances in New Year's Eve, Ender's Game and The Call. She dyed it blonde once again for her upcoming role in Final Girl and said she plans to keep it that way for a while.
But it's not just Abigail Breslin's hair that is making headlines. The teenager is developing her personal style that she shows off on the red carpet and the city streets. In March, Us Weekly posted photos of her in a black turtleneck and wide leg pants at the premiere of the aforementioned film, The Call. A few months later, Daily Mail spotted her leaving Los Angeles in a lacy red dress, denim jacket and sandals.
"I've kind of learned a lot about myself through clothing choices I've made," she told E! "I love reading [fashion] magazines and mostly go on Tumblr for clothes, like fashion Tumblrs. It's so weird but I just love Tumblr so much and I don't even have one."
Abigail Breslin's next fashion choice may go way beyond a simple dye job. The teenager admitted that she might get a nose ring when she turns 18 next year. For now, enjoy our photo slideshow of Abigail Breslin's style evolution.
