Michael Beaudry is known for being a jeweler that celebrities trust for their most important A-List events. Now, everyone can get Beaudry's signature jewels as he brings his new line Facets to QVC.
"I have been fascinated with the challenge of creating an affordable fine jewelry collection at price points that are attainable for everyone," Beaudry told iDesign Times regarding why he wanted to start this line with QVC now. "This sounds easy, perhaps, but I believe that if the Beaudry name is on any new collection that it must be the best of its genre and be classic in design. Our commitment to finish details, quality diamonds and materials, all add to this challenge."
"QVC also has an amazing reach and loyal clientele," Beaudry added "and they take their customer and commitment to quality and value very seriously."
QVC doesn't just get into business with just anyone. The notable network has valued relationships with such designers as Marc Bouwer, Dennis Basso and even Nicole Richie. So, Beaudry knew he had to do something creative to stand out and differentiate himself from his couture pieces.
"Because our flagship store is located in Beverly Hills, there is an international demand for the finest quality pieces with an emphasis on rare and exotic designs," Beaudry explained. "These Beaudry Couture pieces are made one at a time by hand and the majority of the jewelry is set in platinum and high karat gold to perfectly frame the unique attributes of the gemstones. We are currently designing a piece for a well-known entrepreneur for his fiancé and the budget is not an issue; he wants a diamond and ring that is completely unique and rare, which will likely will end up in the six to seven figure price range." For Beaudry's QVC line the prices will range from $1,369 to $3,642 retail. The collection will feature pieces in 14-karat yellow or white gold set with natural, non-treated diamonds.
A lot of A-List stars wear the Beaudry line, such as country superstar Carrie Underwood, but Beaudry shared with iDesign that a favorite memory was seeing the one and only Beyoncé Knowles wear his pieces.
"I will never forget seeing Beyoncé and my wife Laure while they selected the appropriate piece of jewelry for the Oscars," Beaudry said. "She (and my wife of course) are so naturally beautiful and sweet and then when I saw her perform live, I thought; 'My God what a voice!.'" Beaudry's other favorites? Friend Bryan Cranston and his wife Robin Dearden.
