Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe, have sold their home in Montville, N.J. The mansion sold for $3.8 million, the exact price the Real Housewives Of New Jersey couple was asking for.

Melissa and Joe Gorga now plan to move to Franklin Hills, N.J., where they have already purchased land. The couple will build their dream home on the property, but in the meantime they will rent a house nearby. The Gorgas have also already made arrangements for two of their three children to begin school in the town this fall. Their third child, 3-year-old Joey, is not yet old enough to join his siblings at school.

"I feel like this was meant to be," Melissa Gorga said. "It happened just in time for the kids to start their first of day of school. It's going to be a lot of work designing and building the new home, but Joe is an incredible builder and I'm excited to go back to where we started our family."

The couple put their Montville home on the market in May 2012. It featured six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, four fireplaces and a three-car garage. You can check out photos of the gorgeous mansion here.

"We tried Montville, but it just wasn't for us," Joe Gorga said last year. "We want to go back to Franklin Lakes, which is closer to where I work, and we're looking at a couple of properties now."

But rumors persisted that there was a different reason for Joe and Melissa Gorga selling their home. On the RHONJ reunion special last season, the housewife reportedly said that she was moving in order to get away from then-rival Teresa Giudice and her children. Melissa Gorga wrote in her Season 5 blog, however, that this was not the case.

"On to the subject of selling our house. I know the perception out there is that we're doing it for one reason: to get away from the Giudices," she wrote in June. "But the truth is, we put our house on the market months before strippergate. It was a bad time to sell though because of the economy, so we took it off. When all the drama of last season started happening, we decide to put it back on."

"Strippergate" refers to the time the housewives made it seem like Melissa Gorga used to be a stripper. Most thought Giudice was responsible for the plot, though Kim D has allegedly admitted that she was actually behind the scheme.
