Josh Marks, a finalist on Season 3 of MasterChef, was arrested after a bizarre incident in Chicago. The runner-up reportedly accused judge Gordon Ramsay of possessing him and turning him into God.

According to TMZ, a cop saw Josh Marks at the University of Chicago on Monday, trying to use an emergency phone. The 26-year-old also had cuts on his face. When the officer asked him if everything was okay, Marks allegedly attacked the man and tried to take away his gun.

The cop in question, along with two others, then reportedly tried to subdue Josh Marks with pepper spray. However, the contestant escaped into a neighboring backyard, where five cops eventually caught him.

Per this report, Josh Marks is now chained to his bed at an area hospital. He has reportedly been charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, among other crimes. Once arrested, the 7'2" finalist supposedly blamed his woes on Chef Ramsay, calling him an "a**hole."

The former basketball player was a fan favorite on Season 3 of MasterChef until his shocking elimination in an egg-based challenge. However, he won his way back into the competition a short time later, making it all the way to the finals. He ultimately lost to Christine Ha.

"What was one of the toughest of tough calls, we had to reward Christine's performance over Josh's," judge Joe Bastianich explained following the finale. "The degree of talent she displayed overall in her menu surpassed his. But to be fair, it is difficult to think of what Josh put forth as something that 'failed.' Though the title might have escaped him, a career in the culinary world will certainly not."

After his original elimination, Josh Marks said he wanted to open up a cooking school. Following the Season 3 finale, he was also named a spokesman for Real Men Cook.

More recently, he served a guest meal at Ciao Italian Kitchen in Kansas. The finalist was in the area to raise money for Make a Sound Project, which aims to prevent suicide.
