Kim Kardashian wanted to Skype with ex-husband Kris Humphries after their bitter divorce, but the NBA player denied the reality star a video farewell, and called his wife of 72 days insensitive for suggesting the conversation be aired on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Kardashian told sister Khloe and mom Kris that she wanted to have a Skype chat with Humphries to reveal that she "truly did love him." Humphries skipped the final court date for their divorce, and Kardashian explained that she had unfinished business with her ex. Yet, Humphries slammed Kardashian when he refused to sit for a Skype conversation, and scolded her for suggesting that the chat be taped for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
"[He] said no way. Kris turned down Kim's offer because he didn't want to appear on any of the Kardashian reality shows ever again," a source revealed. "Kim and Kris haven't spoken since the divorce was made final, and there are no plans to do so," the insider added. While many critics blamed Humphries for dragging out the divorce for longer than the couple was actually married, it apparently wasn't out of bitterness, but rather remorse.
In fact, Humphries was truly hurt by the failed marriage, and was insulted when he heard that Kardashian celebrated the split on her television show, high-fiving her family members when the divorce was finalized. "He heard about it from his friends," a source said. "On the day the divorce was finalized, Kris was somber and a bit sad. There was absolutely no celebration, or parties. It was the end of his marriage, and it was a reflective time for him. It didn't surprise him that Kim carried on the way she did on the show," the source explained.
Many reports suggested Kardashian was pushing for the divorce to be finalized before she welcomed her first baby with current boyfriend, Kanye West. Kardashian has famously said that she does want to get married again despite her ill-fated 72-day matrimony with Kris Humphries, and the reality star has even praised herself for moving on from the relationship so swiftly. "I do think I would get married again," Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest. "That's what I've always wanted. And just because you think you find it and you realize that's not it, I think I was brave enough to realize that quickly and not waste time," the reality star said.
