Justin Bieber's grandmother Diane Dale has come to his defense in a touching new interview. Bieber has been under fire lately for his sometimes cringe-worthy behavior, but now Dale is coming to the defense of her young grandson saying that he is only 19 years-old!
In a new interview with CTV Ottawa, Justin Bieber's grandma remarked on the constant attention Bieber is under. "It's totally crazy," the Biebs' grandma said. "I feel sorry for Justin all the time because paparazzi pick on him all the time. Anybody else's kids have done the same thing but nobody says anything."
Bieber is currently back home in Canada on his Believe tour, where the "Heartbreaker" singer recently tweeted "Never forget where u come from." Bieber's grandmother continued, "He's just a 19 year old boy. And before you criticize him, say, what is my 19-year-old boy doing?"
Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette also recently came to her son's defense, praising him for his charity work, which she said sometimes goes unnoticed. "I definitely think he's getting a bad rap, but I'm also not naive to think that my child is perfect and making all the best decisions of his life," Mallette said on Watch What Happens: Live! "He knows what I disagree with, and he knows all the things that I'm really proud of him for, too. I mean, people don't talk about all the great things he does every day."
"Every night before a show, he meets with Make-a-Wish kids. He goes to sick kids' hospitals. He visits with them [and] takes his time. He gives back to charities." Bieber has flying relatively under the radar lately, at least compared to usual. Despite partying in Boston last week (Bieber reportedly danced on a bar at Rumor Night Club), the "Baby" singer has been concentrating on his tour (currently in Toronto) and making new music.
