Miley Cyrus recently dished out to advice to Justin Bieber, but why did the "We Can't Stop" singer call Selena Gomez's boyfriend "stupid" and tell the "Boyfriend" crooner to "take a time out?" well, if anyone knows the harsh spotlight of the media, it's Cyrus — so maybe she was just trying to be helpful to her good friend Biebs!
"I told Justin to take a bit of time out and people aren't so obsessed with you and nit-pick," Cyrus revealed to The Sunday People. "When you're not around, all they want is your music. They want to see what the next thing is. But when your music is out they just want to talk s**t about you."
Cyrus knows about the realities of the media and creating controversy, as she's done with her Disney image overhaul. "When you're a worldwide star, everyone sees everything. Lots of people make a video and put it on Instagram, some people might think it's funny but because it's Justin Bieber, it's like really bad."
"I always tell him just to be cool and not talk about it because when you talk it fuels the fire," Cyrus said about what she tells Bieber. "He's still stupid though. But everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up."
There were earlier rumors that Bieber and Cyrus may have been dating this year, but those rumors were very forcefully shot down by Cyrus. "I'm engaged!" Cyrus said to Hot 99.5 when asked about the TMZ pics with Bieber at a nightclub. "I'm engaged, that's impossible." A source also told Yahoo that Bieber and Cyrus' interaction was totally "innocent."
"Miley was there with friends celebrating her new single and Justin showed up to support her," the Bieber/Cyrus source continued. "Miley was dancing around and having the best time with all her friends, including Justin." Bieber and Cyrus were also spotted in May at the same recording studio in Hollywood, and rumors also swirled over the prospect of these two pop stars recording together. "There aren't that many recording booths at this studio; they MUST be doing something together," a photographer told X17. "Justin and Miley left within minutes of each other — it's too coincidental. There's gotta be a collaboration in the works."
