Michelle Chamuel may be Taylor Swift's new best friend after The Voice contestant performed a rendition of the singer's "Trouble" song, in a performance that was been called one of the best on the NBC show.
"She was so sweet and down to earth," Swift said of Chamuel. "I love her rendition [of my song]," Swift said of the song Chamuel performed to nab a Top 3 spot on the singing competition. Swift made a surprise appearance on The Voice to help Team Usher's contestant's put on the show-stopping performance.
"It was so emotional watching her do it. When she performed live, so much pain went into it and I loved that," Swift said of the Chamuel show. Swift, who just launched a new self-titled fragrance, Taylor by Taylor Swift for Elizabeth Arden, detailed how the impromptu mentoring came to be.
"I'm rehearsing and literally singing "Trouble" and learning some new choreography and... Usher just walks in," Swift explained. "He's like, 'Hey, we're shooting The Voice over there. My girl is doing your song,'" Swift said. "And I'm like... 'I mean, I don't have hair and makeup or anything, but I'll do it!"
Chamuel was undoubtedly inspired by the Grammy-winner, and went on to deliver an incredible version of "22" that America could not resist. Chamuel wasn't the only star-struck performer, however, as Swift recently admitted that she was overwhelmed by a recent collaboration with the Rolling Stones in Chicago.
"The whole band, they're so welcoming and wonderful and approachable and all the things you would hope your heroes would be," Swift said. "It's wonderful getting that phone call. Like, 'Hey, would you like to go and play with the Rolling Stones? That is a bold, underlined, exclamation point 'Yes!'" the "Red" singer gushed.
In fact, Swift was so over the moon with gratitude for the opportunity to perform with the rock and roll legends that she snagged a few mementos including a letter from the band that she said she will have framed. The singer also raved about an intangible souvenir from her time spent with the Rolling Stones, in the form of a signature dance routine.
"We did this twirl in the dressing room where we were rehearsing, because we just started sorta kinda like dancing around the room and frolicking and it was really fun," Swift said. "So we decided to incorporate that into the actual performance... I really wanted to do the twirl - this one little twirl that we did - and that was pretty much the best moment ever," Swift raved.
