But we can speculate that the newest season is most likely to occur within the months of March or April. If you take a look at Game of Thrones past the Season premieres of 1 and 2 occurred in April while Season 3 made its big appearance at the end of March. Thanks to Fansided we were able to predict when to start preparing for another Season of bitter cold winter.

But you shouldn't be completely distraught over the long absence of Game of Thrones. Rumors suggest that the cast and crew are set to begin filming Season 4 this July! And as our first act of Season 4 GoT spoiler duty we would like to introduce to you three new characters! The author of the fantasy series, George R. R. Preview of Season 4 Game of Thrones new characters:

Styr, the Magnar of Thenn is a wilding leader of the Free Folk who are a race of people who live beyond the Wall. Those who live south of the Wall describe wildings as lawless and primitive killers, rapist and thieves whereas the Free Folk think of those who live south of 700 foot high icy border as people who lack freedom. Styr is described as a tall, lean man with no ears. He is reportedly clean shaven with no hair and grey eyes. If Season 4 rings true to the book we can expect Styr and Jon Snow to have a bit of an altercation at the Battle of Castle Black.

Mace Tyrell is Lord of Highgarden, Defender of the Marches, High Marshal of the Reach, and Warden of the South. On that note... this guy is pretty damn powerful and reportedly handsome, too! Or at least, he used to be before he gained a substantial amount of weight. Who cares about fitness when you're busy ruling everything? Reports of Mace suggest that he is a prematurely old and tedious man who lacks political insight. Mace's lack of intelligence will play a major role in Season 4 when the life of a man lies in his chubby hands.

Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper, is Doran Nymeros Martell's (the Prince of Dorne and Lord of Sunspear) younger, hot-headed brother. Oberyn is known as the Red Viper due to his black snake-like eyes and quick wit and rumors of fighting battles with a poisoned blade. Perhaps during Season 4 of Game of Thrones we'll find out if those rumors of his dirty fighting are true.
