Major Spoilers Ahead
So what's with the title of "The Rains of Castamere?" According to Latin Times the Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 9 name derives from the unofficial anthem of House Lannister and is allegedly known by everyone in the Westeros.
Here are lyrics from the song that refers to the victory of the treasonous House Reyne of Castemere lead by Lord Tywin:
"And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, and mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere, but now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear."
Spoiler sites insist that many are going to die before the Season 3 finale Game of Thrones and we have an idea of who they might be! In the Season 3, Episode 9 preview of "The Rains of Castamere" we hear Arya tell The Hound her desire to "put her sword through his eye and out the back of his skull." According to spoiler sites Arya does just that and leaves The Hound dead in Saltpans. Little girl has a lot of bite to her, eh?
But unfortunately Starks aren't just doing the killing they are doing the dying, as well. Robb Stark dies alongside many Northmen and Freys at the Red Wedding. The ceremony as the Frey's stronghold had been dubbed "Red Wedding" due to the bloodshed. Robb is killed with his dire wolf, Grey Wind, and the two are both beheaded. Robb's head is put on his dire wolf, while Grey Wind's head is put on Robb's body. That is something you do not want to miss.
Robb's mother, Catelyn Stark, is also killed at the Red Wedding by having her throat slit. However, she is rumored to be brought back to life by Thoros of Myr, the red priest who also revived Lord Beric Dondarrion several times. Per Wet Paint Catelyn takes the name of Lady Stoneheart and leads the Brotherhood Without Banners, which will be seen during the remainder of Game of Thrones. So has the anticipation grown even more?
