Chief Keef was arrested. But what really went down? The 17-year-old rapper was reportedly arrested on Monday near Atlanta after reportedly smoking weed in his hotel room.
Keith Cozart, aka Chief Keef, now faces disorderly conduct charges after police observed smoke and marijuana coming from the rapper's room. Keef was booked at 4:37 p.m. on Monday and wasn't released from jail until 3:38 a.m. Tuesday.
This isn't Keef's first run-in with the law. This past March, Keef had completed a 60-day sentence for violating his probation on a gun conviction. Keef had violated the probation by firing a rifle at a gun range during an on-camera promotion last summer. According to The Chicago Tribune, Keef originally was on probation after "pointing a gun at a Chicago officer and was prohibited from having any contact with a firearm while on probation."
TMZ also reported that Keef was sued for child support by his middle-school aged baby mama earlier this year. The baby mama claimed the rapper fathered her child when he was only 15. A judge then ordered Keef to pay $2,600 a month in child support, $500 in day care and $10,400 in previously unpaid support.
