In a hysterical video that has now gone viral, a wife douses her husband with beer at Sunday’s Chicago Cubs baseball game. The couple, who took the impromptu incident in high spirits, are now the subjects of fast-growing internet fame.
When the Chicago Cubs took on the New York Mets at Wrigley Field on Sunday, May 19th, a wife and her husband, watching from the bleachers, managed to become the baseball game's main attraction. As pitcher Travis Wood swung a home run ball into the stands, the husband rushed to shield his wife from the oncoming attack. In his effort to protect her, however, the husband accidentally spilled a bit of his beer on his wife. The woman, outraged at suddenly finding herself soaked, decided to douse her husband right back. "I got livid," the wife, named Ellen, told MLB. "And took my beer and splooshed it in his face. I figured if I'm wet, he might as well be wet too," she said.
After pouring her beer in her husband's face, Ellen, who later learned that the episode had been caught on camera, laughed off her priceless performance. "I think I got my payback," the wife joked. "I think we're good." But although wife and husband have put the hilarious hiccup behind them, the dousing debacle was not a cheap one. At $7.25 a pop, the Chicago Cubs fans were forced to forego their pricey beverages.
