Is Danity Kane having a reunion? Rumors are swirling that the Making the Band girl group may be getting back together, but when, where and how is now the question. And most importantly will Diddy be involved?
Probably not. TMZ reported that yesterday 4 original members of Danity Kane - Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres caught up at lunch in LA with a new manager. The girl group was discussing a definite reunion and TMZ reports that it's "definitely happening" and that they plan to record and tour.
When the Danity Kane girls were asked if Diddy was involved in their reunion, they replied "who's that?"
The girl group was without member D.Woods, who has been reportedly working on her solo career.
Danity Kane broke up in 2009 after Diddy famously fired O'Day on Making the Band. The group had released 2 albums together in 2006 and in 2008, which both went platinum.
In 2009, D.Woods said the group ended when it should have. "I feel like everything happens for a reason, it came to an end when it needed to," the ex-Danity Kane member told Hollyscoop. "There was a lot of outstanding issues and obviously that was the only way it could be resolved. And I know that I did my very best in the situation. I added to the group in the way that, I knew how to be a group member. I provided us with choreographers, with management, song writing, and everything that I could. But if your services are not being appreciated you gotta take it elsewhere."
O'Day arguably had the most success post-Danity Kane out of the girl group. O'Day was on Broadway in Hairspray, had her own Oxygen reality TV show called All About Aubrey and was on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice.
We can't wait to see how Danity Kane's reunion plans start to come together and what Diddy has to say once he finds out!
