TMZ reported that Frankel's divorce may be nearing an end very soon. TMZ said that sources are saying that "both Bethenny and Jason have filed legal docs saying they have agreed to get a divorce based on the "irretrievable breakdown" of the marriage."
Despite having a pre-nup there are still issues arising for the couple including division of property, child custody of their daughter Bryn and spousal support.
At the time of Frankel's divorce announcement, the SkinnyGirl guru anticipated an "amicable" divorce from Hoppy.
Frankel said back then, "It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,
"We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
Now Frankel is telling People that she may have thought wrong originally about how her divorce was going.
"I really did think it would be amicable. I absolutely did," she says. "I wrote that entire statement myself. And every single word, I believed to be true."
"The truth of the matter is, you go with your gut at the time," Frankel said. "Whatever I'm going through now, I'm certain that I'll learn something from it. When the clouds pass, I will figure out what the silver lining was."
TMZ reports that the judge in the Frankel divorce case gave the couple until May 24 to agree to a "parenting plan."
Another issue is reportedly that Hoppy wants Frankel to return a computer to him.
A source told Radar that Hoppy isn't sure why Frankel is so surprised at the way the divorce is going, since she filed for sole custody of their daughter first.
"Did Bethenny really think Jason was just going to walk away from Bryn? Jason won't be railroaded out of his daughter's life. Period. Bethenny brought all of this on herself, and she can put an end to it. She has to put the needs of their daughter ahead of her own selfish ego," a source said.
Radar continues to report that an insider said Hoppy is a lot less angry that he once was during the divorce. "Jason has come a long way since he filed for divorce and requested sole custody of Bryn, just as Bethenny did when she initially filed. Jason doesn't want to cut Bethenny out of his daughter's life, and he recognizes that Bryn needs her mommy."
"Jason is agreeable to joint custody of Bryn, but Bethenny is absolutely balking. She wants sole custody of Bryn."
Guess we'll have to see how this all plays out on May 24 in court.
