The Today show correspondent and former First Daughter has received lots of parenting advice, from her colleagues at NBC and her own mother.

"I learned so many beautiful things from you guys, and I'm sure every mom out there that's watching did too," she said on Today. "It really is amazing how our moms and our dads are our first teachers. They're so important."

The Bushes have always been a close family, and her parents Laura and George W. Bush seem to be more excited than anyone for their first grandchild.

They've been discussing what the baby will call Dubya—Jenna and her sister Barbara called George H.W. Bush "Gampy." Popsicle, Pancho, Jefe, and of course, Gampy, have all been named as possibilities. President Bush said he's "fired up" in expectation of the grandchild.

"My mom and grandmother were instant role models from the day we were born," Bush Hager said. Her mother also fondly remembered that day.

"Daddy and I brought home you and Barbara. Two little bitty premature babies. We didn't know anything about children. Had this idealized view of the four of us sitting on the couch," she said. "And instead, you all cried!"

The former First Daughter is a teacher, editor-at-large at Southern Living, and a special NBC correspondent for Today. She married Henry Hager in 2008 at her parents' ranch near Crawford, Texas. They met during George W. Bush's 2004 presidential campaign.

"Really take advantage of every moment and try to remember those special moments that you have with your children," Laura Bush told her expectant daughter. "Because before you know it, they're 31 and having children of their own!"
