Anna Wintour, Vogue’s icy Editor-in-Chief, is hardly so poor that she needs to auction off accessories on eBay. Of course, Condé Nast’s crowned queen isn’t selling off Vogue’s fashion closet for her own sake. In an effort to aid fundraising for Beating Bowel Cancer, Wintour has put two priceless designer pieces up for sale. Now, with just a few clicks, the covetable creations, straight from Vogue’s fashion closet, can be yours.

Wintour, who is a frequent face on fundraising circuits, has donated two designer duds – both bags - to the eBay auction. The normally high-priced handbags, one by Reed Krakoff, and the other by Salvatore Ferragamo, are, according to eBay, in “perfect condition direct from the US Vogue Closet.” And at 55 GBP, a Reed Krakoff tote tops our list of designer deals.

The Vogue fashion closet, which rose to fame during Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City hayday, received a new revival during 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada. The fashionista flick, based on author Lauren Weisberger’s work experience at Vogue, showcased Anne Hathaway’s character getting a makeover amidst aisles of apparel and accessories. Unlike Hathaway’s free shopping spree, however, the Vogue fashion closet is off limits to the majority of the magazine’s staff. The fashion closet, which contains borrowed items from designer brands and PR agencies, is used to stock Vogue’s sensational photo shoots, not its employees wardrobes.

With Anna Wintour’s eBay auction, however, enviable extras from the Vogue fashion closet are now up for grabs. Check out Beating Bowel Cancer’s eBay page to buy the famous bags.
