Bell and fiancé Dax Shepard have happily announced the arrival of their daughter, who the couple named Lincoln Bell Shepard.

Shepard couldn't hide his excitement, turning to Twitter to share the news of the couple's first child. "Lincoln Bell Shepard is here. She has mom's beauty and dad's obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!," the elated comedian said.

One of Bell's last appearances before giving birth to baby Lincoln was on the Ellen show. The very pregnant actress told Ellen DeGeneres that she was not looking forward to the delivery process.

"I feel like, when I arrive at the hospital, I want a glass of whiskey, I want the epidural in my back and I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it's over because I've seen the videos - and it looks terrifying," Bell said in a hilarious confession.

The new parents, who got engaged in 2009 are enjoying their bundle of joy without any rush to tie the knot. In August, Bell appeared on Larry King Live and said that her and Shepard were "not worried" about having kids out of wedlock.

Bell, who was heavily pregnant leading up to her daughter's birth, did not let growing belly stop her from defending her beliefs.

Surrounding the Supreme Court rulings on Proposition 8, a California law banning marriage between same-sex couples, Bell has been advocating on behalf of the cause.

"Best sign I've seen all day #LETLOVEWIN #marriageequality," was one of Bell's tweets.

She also scouted support from fellow A-listers, reposting Sophia Bush's tweet. "Well said @Sophia Bush: People who hide hate & excuses 4 inequality behind God r missing the point of faith entirely. #EqualityMatters."

After welcoming baby Lincoln, we're sure the human rights supporter will feel even more compelled to support equality for all.
