Kanye West's 'I Am God' album is reportedly being released in 2013, but is Kim Kardashian's baby daddy's ego really comparing himself to the all-mighty?
West first sparked criticism for suggesting the name North for baby Kimye in order to compliment his last name West. But now he's really creating controversy after rumors surfaced that West would be announcing his divine powers via an LP title.
Perhaps fans were so quick to accept the 'I Am God' title as truth because of West's constant religious references.
The accompanying article was titled "The Passion of Kanye West," and included a quote from West that said, "You want me to be great, but you don't ever want me to say I'm great?"
In another photo of West channeling Christ, him and girlfriend Kim Kardashian posed with arms outstretched, imitating the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue that they stood before while visiting Rio De Janeiro.
West's most recent divine reference came when he performed his 2005 hit song "Jesus Walks" during the Hurricane Sandy Relief concert in New York City this past December. The rapper was outfitted in a sweatshirt that prominently displayed a scene featuring Jesus Christ.
It is unknown if West truly believes that he has celestial powers, but the star certainly seems to be transfixed by God and the similarities the two apparently share.
According to The Drop, other title names that West has considered include 'Rich Black American' and 'Black American Psycho.'
In other naming news, Kardashian recently dished about choosing a K name for her and West's first child.
