Britney Spears was out and about with her new boyfriend David Lucado this week, just two months after calling off her engagement to former manager Jason Trawick.
Though Trawick, 41, was significantly older than Spears, this time around Spears seems to be dipping her foot in a younger pool. Lucado is 27.
Lucado isn't part of Britney's usual Hollywood crowd - he's a lawyer from Virginia, by way of Atlanta. He deleted his private Facebook page as soon as the media caught wind of their relationship. Guess that means we won't be getting a peek into their relationship à la Kevin Federline and Chaotic. That's probably a good thing.
Britney Spears' new boyfriend has been spotted tanning with the Toxic singer, on a dinner date for Valentine's Day, and even golfing! Hopefully this will be a low-key relationship for Spears, who hasn't always been lucky in love.
Spears' marriage to backup dancer Federline fell apart after only two years in 2006; they have two sons together. Britney Spears, 31, also married childhood friend Jason Alexander in Vegas in 2004, but it was annulled after only 55 hours (beat that, Kim Kardashian!).
Before that, Spears dated Justin Timberlake, who was a member of NSYNC at the time. The two grew up performing on Disney's The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. Although Timberlake famously admitted to taking the pop star's virginity in an interview with shock jock Howard Stern, the 90s power couple split up in 2002. Then he released the amazing—and reportedly Britney—inspired-video for Cry Me a River.
They first met in 2006 and he was her agent while she was married to Federline. They started dating in 2009 and Trawick took over Spears' affairs as her co-conservator, along with her father. Britney was engaged to Trawick for a little over a year before they amicably ended their relationship. He also stepped down as conservator and agent.
Spears is currently working on her eight album, and was recently a judge on The X-Factor. We love seeing Britney doing so well—maybe she'll find happiness with Lucado.
