Actress Danielle Fishel, who is better known as Topanga from the hit series "Boy Meets World," is getting ready for a spinoff show "Girl Meets World" in which she will revisit her former role. But in the meantime, the 31-year-old is stripping for the cover and a photo spread for Maxim's April 2013 issue.
Apart from showing off her beautifully sculpted body - and it is beautiful! - the actress also told the magazine how the odd name of her character came about. Let's just say it involved a strange incident Fishel had with actor Bob Saget on a private plane. She also cleared the air about rumors that she dated her co-star Ben Savage.
On the cover of the magazine, Fishel poses provocatively in nude lingerie under a light-blue cardigan. She shows off her killer curves and toned body while she looks at the camera sultrily holding a matching blue phone to her ear. Other pictures also show her posing seductively in racy undergarments. Topanga has definitely grown up!
The seriously sexy Fishel also told Maxim how her character's name Topanga came about. She said, "Michael Jacobs, who created "Boy Meets World," says he was driving down the highway when production called and said, 'We need a name for this character!' He happened to be driving past Topanga Canyon, so he said, 'Topanga.' He says that if they had called him two miles later, I would've been named Canoga, which is the next exit."
Many of Danielle Fishel's loyal fans have named their daughters after Topanga. Fishel and her family members have met many young girls with the name. "People will tweet me, and I've had family members who have met other Topangas. It's crazy and it's flattering, but I never know what to say when they're showing me their beautiful little girls. I'm like, 'Really? Topanga!'" she said to the magazine, reported CBS News.
Fishel also took this opportunity to clear the air about rumors that she dated her co-star Savage. She informed that the whole rumor was her fault. She said, "That rumor was entirely my fault because I once said, on "The Tyra Banks Show," that Ben and I went on a date, and that turned into 'Danielle and Ben dated.' We went on one date, when I was about 15, and by the time the dinner was over we realized mutually that we were more like family than lovers."
Fishel also talked about a strange incident she had with "Full House" actor Saget. She said that he came upto her and her family on a private plane to Disney World and asked "Do you guys have any coke?!"
The actress also tweeted about her excitement of being the cover girl for Maxim's April 2013 edition. She wrote on her Twitter account, "Ahhh! I'm so excited to be @MaximMag 's April cover girl!"
Disney's "Girl Meets World" will hit TV screens later this year.
