On the heels of a new song and a big real estate purchase, country cutie Taylor Swift is definitely having a good month. And with new boyfriend, 18-year-old Conor Kennedy, grandson of Bobby Kennedy, her fashion sense has definitely hit a high note. With retro silhouettes and fun patterns, Taylor seems to be channeling the original First Lady of Fashion - Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Since first being spotted with Conor at the famous family's Cape Cod compound, Taylor has been the picture of classic prep when stepping out with her beau.  Always a fan of retro frocks, Taylor has definitely taken inspiration from Jackie O's wardrobe, incorporating everything from cutesy polka dots to Peter Pan collars.

Taylor recently sported this pale-yellow, collared fit and flare dress, paired with a brown leather cross-body bag. We definitely spot the resemblance to the similar-style yellow gingham dress the former First Lady wore on the cover of a 1960s magazine.

The singer looked particularly fabulous flirting with Conor in this full floral skirt and silk blouse. While the floral motif is definitely reminiscent of Conor's great aunt, her Rayban Wayfarer shades speak more to JFK's style - quite the opposite of the large, round sunnies that Jackie favored.

Taylor's modest, but nautical-inspired swimwear choices while on the compound have also been chic. Her first demure look was a blue and white polka-dot one-piece that featured retro-inspired ruching. We loved the red polka-dot bikini paired with navy striped shorts. But we have to say, she did kind of look like she stepped out of a J. Crew ad. Jackie was more conservative on the beach than Taylor, typically opting for a head scarf and either a covering frock or trousers.

We miss seeing Taylor in the glitzy, sequined gowns she rocks on the red carpet. Hopefully Taylor will bring it on at the VMAs in September. Jackie always stepped up the glamour!

Either way, Conor and Taylor's budding romance may be for the long haul - as the singer has gained the famous family's approval. Ethel Kennedy, family matriarch and Conor's grandmother, said "We should be so lucky," when asked about the star maybe one day joining the Kennedy clan.

Taylor even purchased a home opposite Ethel's in Hyannis Port. The seven-bedroom, five-bathroom property was snagged by the singer for $4.9 million last week.

We only hope Conor doesn't become the subject of one of Taylor's famous revenge songs!
