Some people even spread rumors about me and retouch my pictures to hurt me," Lukyanova confessed to V. "But I don't take them seriously... It's what success is like. I'm happy I seem unreal to them, it means I'm doing a good job."
Lukyanova made headlines earlier this year when her bizarre barbie doll style drew attention and controversy online, causing some to ask if her photos were real or well-done photoshop.
In their article, V Magazine defended Valerie Lukyanova against these claims, citing an unnamed source close to the human barbie doll.
"The truth is that Valeria is very much real, as brought to our attention by a Ukrainian contact who prefers to remain anonymous," the article notes. "Our source also claimed that the Security Service of Ukraine is having Lukyanova's activities monitored."
During the interview, Valerie Lukyanova claims that she is the "most famous woman of the Russian-speaking Internet," putting her in interesting company, to say the least. She even refers to herself as "Amatue," which means sun goddess, and is friends with her asian counterpart "Anime Girl" Anastasiya Shpagina.
Despite Valerie Lukyanova outrageous style, she contends that there's nothing unique about her look.
"Every good-looking woman with fine features and a slim figure looks like a doll," she said. "I won't deny that I play along with people's perceptions. I'm amused by the reactions. I don't take it seriously."
The human barbie doll went on to detail her daily routine, which actually sounds much more mundane than we would have expected.
"In the morning I work on my face and I get a massage, then I spend some time on the Internet," said Valerie Lukyanova. "I meditate and travel in my astral body, and after that I work out at the gym. I go for a walk with my best girlfriend, I get home, and I make dinner for the man I love. Then I spend some more time on the Internet, do some reading and meditating, and go to bed."
