In Maggiore's own words, the BUG-A-Salt is a " a fun way to eradicate bugs and other insects." It's also non-toxic and doesn't require any batteries. Simply pour some table salt into the shotgun and fire away.
Each shot consists of a controlled spray of salt crystals which kills flies on impact, leaving them whole for easy cleanup. This is literally the product that we have all been waiting for, and you only have four days left to purchase yours through an early contribution of $30.

Maggiore and his partners at SKELL Inc. set their fundraising sights low with a goal of just $15,000. As of now they've raised over $487,412 thanks to nearly 10,000 backers who will receive one or more copies of the BUG-A-SALT.
The experience has been an incredible journey for Maggiore, who says the idea for the bug-killing shotgun came to him randomly.
"Being a working artist I get ideas and this one I had to execute."
So Maggiore travelled to China to develop the patent pending design for the BUG-A-SALT. Now that the final push to full-scale production is almost complete Maggiore is excited to get his invention into homes across the world.
"I'm so passionate about this project," he said. "It's fun, easy to use and entertaining."
