Today, the International Business Times reported that a new leaked photo of the smartphone-tablet device had surfaced online at KnowYourMobile. However, the post in question actually showed a picture of a pile of leaks (the vegetable), rather than a leaked picture of the upcoming smartphone-tablet hybrid. This hilarious mixup left us wondering: is Samsung designing a 'green' gadget?

Get it? Moving on, this is not the first time that alleged leaked photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have surfaced online. Furthermore, the IBTimes article continues to describe the leaked photo in detail, suggesting that perhaps it was posted by knowyourmobile.com and then later taken down for unknown reasons, and replaced with a joke photo.
According to IBTimes, the leaked picture shows the "entire front body" of the device. The article goes on to note the multiple ways in which the photo confirms previous rumors regarding the Galaxy Note 2:
In the alleged photo, the rumored 5.5-inch display is showcased, with a thin white edge surrounding the screen. When comparing the image alongside a photo of the original Galaxy Note, the difference in screen size is clearly visible. Not only is the display taller, but the Galaxy Note 2 appears to be wider as well.
You can see an actual allegedly leaked Galaxy Note 2 over at TechRadar in an article posted on Wednesday.
The original Galaxy Note was met with criticism for featuring an oversized screen when t was released last November. However, the "phablet" proved to be a cult hit, and Samsung recently announced that 10 million units have been sold.
Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy Note 2, but tech analysts and consumers have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The new device will likely feature a 5.5-inch screen (diagonally), Super AMOLED screen, 1280x720 resolution, 2GHz Exynos quad-core processor, 8 mega-pixel camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
Rumor has it, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 2 the day before a planned Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29.
