Amazing Data Visualizations From 'America Revealed' on PBS UK

The trailer for a new episode of PBS UK's documentary series "America Revealed' features some seriously impressive data visualizations, portraying Domino's Pizza supply chain on a national, regional, and city-wide scale.

This unique presentation of information and the perspective it shows us was made possible thanks to a combination of aerial photography, satellite imagery, number-crunching computers and GPS trackers. New uses for technology allow us to comprehend data which before was to complex to explain in a single image.

This is the general theme of "America Revealed," a new British series which promises to "explore the hidden patterns and rhythms that make America work," and uses stunning data visualization to make these patterns easy on the eyes.

Two create the Domino's supply data visualizations, GPS monitors were attached to trucks carrying food supplies across state lines, and in Manhattan the same monitors were attached to delivery bikes. You can see more impressive data visualizations here.
