For those who want to get caught up on the latest Google Nexus 5 smartphone news, we've rounded up everything we can find around the web concerning the new Android device. Take a look at our quick rundown below.

It seems everyone has an opinion on what the actual Nexus 5 release date will be but thus far no one is particularly certain. Though Christian Today writer Tom Smith speculated that the Nexus 5 might launch during the live stream of A Morning with Google+ which took place at 9:30 am PT on Tuesday, the event came and went with no Nexus showcased and no Android KitKat 4.4 revelation. However, just because we didn't see the LG Nexus 5 revealed on Tuesday, doesn't mean this week is completely out of the question. In fact, CNET reports that the LG Nexus 5 Google smartphone is highly likely to make its debut on Thursday on the Google Play store, as revealed by a Canadian tech blog, Mobile Syrup. The blog goes on to say that while the US release date for the Nexus 5 is expected on October 31, Canadians won't likely see it until November 7, 2013.

However, if October 31, comes and goes without the Nexus 5 hitting the Google Play store then we have one last estimate which has been reported pretty widely: a November 1 release date. This estimate came via a Google Play store leak, which took place on Friday. While the company has yet to send out invitation to a nexus 5 events and while October 31 — Halloween — would make a great day to reveal the new LG device alongside a candy named new operating system the Android KitKat 4.4, we're placing our bets on the November 1 release date for the Nexus 5.

LG Google Nexus 5 Rumors: Price

As far as the price for the Nexus 5, the same Google play store leak which gave us the November 1 release date also showed the 16 GB model of the device coming in $349 — the same price as the 16GB Nexus 4 was on its launch date. Earlier rumors had suggested a $399 launch price for the 16GB model, and $449 for the 32GB model but these latest leaks seem to suggest otherwise.

LG Google Nexus 5 Rumors: Carriers

While the Google Nexus 5 is expected to be available on all major carriers in the US including ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, recently leaks show that in Canada a number of providers will also be available including, Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Koodo, and Virgin Mobile.

October has been a big month in terms of Nexus 5 leaks as early in the month we saw a Google+ user leak alleged photos of the LG device in black. Then last week another leak from @evleaks which is relatively solid in the information they have brought in the past showcased a phone similar in appearance to the black device leaked earlier in the month, only this time, in white. In terms of features, we know the Google Nexus 5 is expected to feature the latest Android operating system the KitKat 4.4. The device we also now will purportedly be made of a sturdy plastic but will also include some interesting hardware that may allow for motion-activated features and gesture controls like shaking the device for camera access, or behavior controls that allow apps to launch while you're driving. A document leaked earlier this year, which showed service instructions for the unreleased Nexus 5 smartphone was recently broken down by component on Reddit, giving some insight as to the many specs and features we can expect on the new Nexus 5. Here is an excerpt from that post:
