What is the price of Apple's iPad Air? What's changed with the iPad Air specs and features? When do iPad Air pre-orders begin? When will the new Apple tablet release? How long will it take for an iPad Air to arrive after I order it?
These questions and more have been flooding the web and social media after Apple's Tuesday iPad event in which the latest iteration of the iPad 5 or rather, the iPad Air, along side its miniature side-kick the iPad Mini 2, were showcased. With a number of snazzy new specs and features like a slimmer bezel and lighter overall weight, the iPad Air has been the talk of the web but, unfortunately for those of us who like to be the first, the new 10-inch Apple tablet won't be going on pre-sale. In other words, like the iPhone 5S, no pre-orders will be taken on the iPad Air.
When Will The iPad Air Go On Sale? Can You Pre-Order?
So when will the iPad Air release? The official launch date for the new Apple iPad Air is set for November 1, 2013, at which time purchases can be made both online and in stores, on a first come first serve basis. The sales will begin at 8 am locally when the Apple stores open on November 1, 2013.
For those who have heard about the iPad Air but aren't familiar with the new specs, features and pricing information, here's a quick overview to get you up to speed.

iPad Air New Specs And Features
The iPad Air that we all presumed would be named the iPad 5, comes in a lighter, thinner and faster version of the previous model. Though many had hoped we might see a 256GB offering this time around the iPad Air is coming in 16-128 GB models.
Keeping its classic 9.7-inch retina display, the Apple iPad Air has the same physical size as the iPad 4 but in reality the user is getting a slightly larger screen as the bezels have been shaved in half, reducing size by 43%. But the bezels aren’t the only thing that has been shaved on the Apple iPad Air. The device has dropped a little weight as well! Coming in at just one pound, it is for this reason the iPad 5 has actually been names the iPad Air.
Even though Apple’s fifth generation iPad may have slimmed down, it’s no lightweight. Sporting the power 64-bit A7 processor chip that made its debut in the iPhone 5S, this newest iPad Air is said to run 72 times as fast as the original iPad.
The device will be available in silver and space grey, but sadly no gold or champagne will be available.
In addition, the iPad Air didn’t feature the fingerprint scanner, as most rumors were certain would be found there which might have disappointed a few fan boys. Over all though the new device is impressive, and many who have seen it in person have named it a truly beautiful device.
Will you be purchasing the new Apple iPad Air on release day? What is your favorite new spec or feature on Apple’s latest 10-inch tablet?
