Apple began pre-orders on the iPhone 5C on Friday, September 13, 2013. What price is the iPhone 5C with or without a contract? Where can I get the best deal on a new iPhone 5C? Here is everything you need to know.
iPhone 5C Price Without Contract Through Apple, T-Mobile or AT&T
The iPhone 5C can be purchased unlocked and contract-free through the Apple website for $549 on the 16GB model and $649 on the 32GB model. For those who are interested in purchasing the iPhone 5C contract-free but need a payment plan, AT&T and T-Mobile are both offering nice prices on the device. At T-Mobile the payment plan price for the 16GB iPhone 5C without a contract is zero down and $22 a month for 24 months. AT&T offers a similar deal on the 16GB iPhone 5C, allowing customers to purchase the iPhone 5C for zero down and $22 a month for 20 months. AT&T however has a higher price on its service plan, which makes up the difference.
After 24 months of payments, the iPhone 5C price without contract at T-Mobile would be $528 dollars — a $20 dollar savings over the Apple store retail price. At AT&T, after the 20 months of payments, the iPhone 5C price without contract would be $440 — a $109 savings over the Apple store retail price. For those who have an older iPhone 5, 4S or 4, Apple and several major carriers do offer trade-in deals on older iPhones to get you even more savings. You can take a look at some of those deals here.
iPhone 5C Price With Contract Through AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon
If you choose to go with a standard two-year plan through one of the major carriers like AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, the 16GB iPhone 5C price is $99 while the 32GB model is $199. Each dealer has different pricing charts depending on the data plan you choose. A break down of the prices on data plans at the four major carriers for individuals or families can be found here.
For those of you interested in a two-year contract at Sprint ,Verizon, or AT&T, and have a Walmart in your area, the store is offering a nice price reduction of $20 dollars there. This would bring the 16GB iPhone 5C to just $79 dollars with a two-year plan. Walmart will allow customers to visit their local store starting Friday, September 13, 2013 to pre-order their iPhone 5C, which will be available for in-store pick up on Sept. 20, 2013.
