UPDATE: When will iOS 7 Beta 6 expire? iOS 7 GM released Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Direct download link for iOS 7 GM is here. iOS 7 will go public Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Make sure to downgrade to 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 prior to that if you intend to!

iOS 7 Beta 6 released August 15, 2013 and though the expiration date is still a few weeks away — October 6, 2013 — those who want to return to iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 should downgrade as soon as possible. Why? Because if you don't when the public version of iOS 7 finally releases you will be forced to remain on it as the signing window for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 will be completely closed. This is true for all iPhones, iPads and iPods capable of testing the iOS 7 betas.

Though at this point we don't know when the Gold Master (GM) or the public version of iOS 7 will release, if the past is any indication, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 will likely be the day. Last year when the iPhone 5 was unveiled Apple released the final and public version of iOS 6 on the same day. If this year follows the same pattern, then Tuesday we'll see not only the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C unveiled, but also the iOS 7 GM and public edition released. As soon as a new firmware releases, Apple allows a very small window to sign old firmwares and then the window is closed. Many who have used iOS 7 are pleased with it. However, there are still a few who would prefer to return to the older firmware. If you are one of these people, today or Monday would be a good time to downgrade to iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 to avoid missing the signing window. For a tutorial on how to downgrade your iPhone, iPad or iPod to iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 check out the instructions below.

How To Downgrade iOS 7 Beta 6 to iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (Via iDownloadblog.com)

To downgrade your firmware from iOS 7 Beta 6 to iOS 6.1.3, or 6.1.4 do the following:

Step 1: Download the iOS 6.1.3 (or 6.1.4 for the iPhone 5) to your desktop from this download page.

Step 2: connect your iOS device running iOS 7 beta to your computer.

Step 3: open iTunes, select your device, and option+click (shift+click in Windows) on the Restore button.

Step 4: point to the firmware you downloaded in step 1.

Step 5: watch as your device restores back to iOS 6.1.3 successfully.

Note: Keep in mind that you may only downgrade to the latest publicly available firmware for iOS on an A5 device, even if you have SHSH blobs saved. For older devices like the iPhone 4, you may be able to downgrade to lesser firmware if you happen to have your SHSH blobs saved via Redsn0w. Instructions for downgrading to iOS 6 - 6.1.2 or below via Redsn0w can be found here.

How To Download And Install iOS 7 Beta 6
