Kate Hudson surprised everyone with her risky outfit and new haircut at the 73rd Golden Globes Award in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday. The 36-year-old star was literally shining in her sequined-style attire while displaying her shoulder-length hair.

The actress was wearing a pair of crop top and long skirt from the collection of Michael Kors. She was also sporting her signature hairstyle — the beach waves.

Her stylist, David Babaii, GHD Brand Ambassador, revealed how they prepared Hudson for the prestigious event.  "I cut off all of her hair," Babaii told PeopleStyle.

"We cut off seven inches, I measured it. It's a really modern, jagged, crazy kind of cut," he added. The hairdresser has been working with the "Almost Famous" star for the Golden Globes for about 14 years now.

He revealed that when he instantly saw her outfit, he perfectly knew that her mane needed a change. It has to have a modern kind of style "with a little bit of chaos." He also disclosed that they have to make her go "blonder" to pull the look together.

Meanwhile, E! Online added that Hudson's makeup artist, Melanie Iglesias, revealed the complete breakdown of her client's "radiant face makeup." She said she first put on a moisturizer and a hydrating mist on her face before applying a foundation with the use of a wet beautyblender.

Then, Iglesias used a medium-sized powder brush, like Chantecaille 'Radiance' Gel Bronzer, with a liquid bronzer to contour and add a subtle glow. Furthermore, she worked with Chantecaille Liquid Lumiere in 'Sheen' to highlight her cheekbones, brows and the bridge of her nose.

And for the final touch, she dabbed a pop of soft peachy-pink with a cream-formula blush on her cheeks and finished off with a dust of high-definition finishing powder on her T-zone. Then, voila! Everyone can have the glowing look of Hudson from the red carpet.
