Us Weekly previously reported that Leonardo could not stop laughing after Lady Gaga was proclaimed as the winner of the Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie award for her remarkable acting stint in "American Horror Story." The "Catch Me If You Can" star was caught off guard when she passed him on way to the stage, which effortlessly went viral.

Leonardo had a stellar time on Sunday when he received a standing ovation when he won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama Category for his role in "The Revenant." This is the third time that the hunky actor won in Golden Globes award as he previously brought home the trophy in 2004 for "The Aviator" and 2013 for "The Wolf of Wall Street."

The actor kept the party going into the night and joined by BFF Tobey Maguire in the afterparties. Leonardo also revealed backstage that playing a mentally-impaired kid in the 1993 film "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" was the "biggest risk" he has ever taken in his whole career.

"I desperately wanted to do [it]. And it was the first time I got offered a lot of money to do this other role, and I waited. I am pretty proud of myself at that age that I was that passionate about something and a character," Leonardo told the reporters. "That paid off a lot for me because I got to work with pretty unbelievable people."
